Using a competency model in the organization is a way to integrate all the HR management processes (selection, training and development, performance management, motivation, etc.).
 
That way:
  • expectations toward employees are cleared;
  • efforts to develop employees are more focused;
  • skills, abilities, behaviors, and attitudes that lead to high performance are specified.
